Stage 1 of the Lower Msimbazi Upgrading Project (LMUP) in Dar Es Salaam, including the Feasibility Study with an Integrated Spatial Plan, is completed. Further detailed design of urban greening and nature revitalization, city park design and urban development for this 400 ha area in the centre of Dar es Salaam has a clear guideline with this document. A follow-up of the Msimbazi Opportunity Plan has now resulted into a coherent, integrated plan of interventions for the lower basin based on economic, financial, operational, phasing, and spatial quality aspects. The LMUP Feasbility Study is made in collaboration with CDR International, Norplan Tanzania, Deltares, and DASUDA, for the President’s Office of Regional Administration and Local Government of Tanzania.

VE-R is thrilled to be part of this and looking forward to seeing the Msimbazi project come to life in the coming years!
