Integral development strategy for the landscape and sustainable hamlet, Lievingerveld at the east side of Beilen.

The municipality of Midden-Drenthe decided to buy land at the east side after the latest village extension neighbourhood Nagtegael seemed to be sold out soon. The changing market of real estate and the demographic shifts are demanding another development strategy of these purchased grounds. The approach of ‘the hamlet grows’ is an organic growth strategy of a framework of blue and green with incorporated opportunities for a new hamlet with focus on people, local initiatives, step by step, small and collective development. The exploration of this strategy is no plan but a spatial zoning, principles for functions and possible buildings, with a walking path through to landscape as first step.
